Don’t miss the Health Expo, Thursday, April 26th at the Brownwood Coliseum from 7am-2pm. The early morning start at 7 a.m. allows you time to come before work and it runs until 2 p.m. to allow those to come by during their lunch time. Visit over 65 booths offering FREE health screenings, great door prizes, and giveaways. This is your chance to get a free total cholesterol check by finger stick, body fat percentage check and many more screenings. In-Touch Telemedicine Robot
BRMC has partnered with Cook Children’s Hospital to provide Telemedicine Services for infants that may need special attention of a neonatologist. The telemedicine robot with the assistance of a physician and the Obstetric nursing staff is able to receive instructions via face to face video with a neonatologist. The access allows the Cook Children’s physician to hear, see and view the scans as it is being done. They will then be instructed how they may address the concern. If unable to address it locally, of course they will be Teddy Bear flighted. The purpose is to alleviate anxiety and unnecessary travel for Newborn Mom’s and Dad’s and family. Because we take great precautions in caring for our patients and newborns, there have been many cases that the telemedicine robot could have addressed the concern and it would have been much less stress on the family. WE ARE excited to implement this new technology at Brownwood Regional Medical Center by partnering with Cook Children’s Hospital and wanted share with you the coming soon technology!
