CASA 101: Information Session

  • Share:
Name: CASA 101: Information Session
Date: July 19, 2018
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
Information Session to provide information and answer questions primarily about CASA and being a CASA volunteer. CASA trains and supports ordinary people from the community to serve as officers of the court to work with and on behalf of abused/neglected children from Brown, Comanche, and Mills counties who have been removed from their homes by court order. A CASA volunteer gets to know the child and everyone in the child's life in order to advocate for the needs of the child and their best interest in court. The need for quality volunteers has never been more urgent. Children are waiting and deserve the focus and attention of their very own CASA to stand with them during this time, to give them a voice and to fight for them to have a safe, permanent, nurturing home. We will discuss the qualifications, training, specifics of the job, commitment needed, and process involved in becoming a CASA. Please join us and bring a friend! If you can't help these vulnerable children in one way, perhaps there is another. We'll also talk about our new volunteer opportunity CASA Crusaders. Please RSVP to Joanne. Every child has a chance - it's you!
