IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Monday - Friday

8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$35,000 - $50,000

JOB SUMMARY

The IT support technician is responsible for ensuring stability of computer system services for users by providing the technical expertise, assistance and project prioritization necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware, troubleshoot/resolve technical issues, and provide general system support. A majority of the job is data processing morning totals, commissions, check writing, accounting and other time sensitive processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB JUNCTIONS

  • Ensure functionality of the computer system for all system users
  • Install selected software and hardware products
  • Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors and users to ensure uninterrupted service
  • Provide desktop and network support
  • Assist in website development and support
  • Be "on-call" for periods as assigned by manager
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed
  • Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve systems for end users
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 25 pounds
  • Remote desktop and telephone support
  • Ability to follow written and /or verbal instructions
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Other duties as requested by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering or 2 or more years of experience in IT support
  • 2+ years of IT support experience
  • Relevant software certifications preferred but not required
  • Must have effective communication skills and demonstrate ability to handle multiple and/or changing priorities
