Event Description:
It is going to be a hoppin' good time at the 13th Annual Great Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Wendlee Broadcasting, KXYL and KQBZ on Saturday, April 8th at Coggin Park.
The event will run from 10:00am-1:00pm with the hunts beginning at 11:00am.
Pre-K to 3rd Grade: 11:00am
3 years old & Under
4 years old to 5 year old
6 years old to 7 year old.
More than 2,000 children are expected to attend this year.
Wendlee Broadcasting General Manager, Rex Tackett said The Great Easter Egg Hunt continues to grow each year and it is a family friendly event for the entire community.
More than 25,000 pieces of candy are expected to be spread across Coggin Park, courtesy of United Supermarkets. Local businesses, groups and organizations will set up booths and community volunteers and high school students will assist during the event.
Along with the egg hunt, there will be inflatable bounce houses and slides, hot dogs, drinks, a car show, and vehicles from the Brownwood and Early Police Departments, Brownwood Fire Department, the Brown County Sheriff's Office and Lifeguard Ambulance on display. There will also be lawn mower races and classic cars courtesy of the Heartland Cruisers.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand with a photo booth available for pictures.
KXYL Newstalk 102.3 FM and KQBZ-FM 96.9 The Breeze will be broadcasting live from the event.
Gold sponsors include United Supermarkets, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Potters Pizza, Hendrick Medical Center, First Central Credit Union, and the Early Visitor and Events Center.
