Event Description:
Good Samaritan Ministries invites you to Empty Bowls at the Brownwood Coliseum on Thursday, March 23rd from 11:30am-2:00pm. VIP Bowl Preview Hour is from 10am-11am.
The Empty Bowls Project is our largest fundraising event of the year. Empty Bowls brings the Brown County Community together to fight hunger and food insecurity. Volunteers from schools, churches and businesses paint the bowls. Area restaurants and venues donate the soup. Volunteers also serve soup at the event.
Ninety percent of the funds raised stay in Brown County to support GSM's seven hunger programs. Ten percent is donated to an international hunger relief organization.
The empty bowl serves as a reminder of the need to fight hunger and food insecurity locally and globally. Recognized world-wide, the empty bowl is an invitation to help those who struggle on a daily basis with the effects of poverty.
There are also sponsorship opportunities as well that include complimentary tickets with each package. For ticket and sponsorship information, please call 325-643-2273.
